Angus has gained nearly 25 years’ oil field experience; commencing in 1997 with three years as a Service Hand for a coring company (Corpro Systems Ltd) working in the Far East, Middle East and the North Sea, both onshore and offshore. He then joined the Santa Fe Well Engineering training scheme which he completed in 2004 with the attainment of Chartered Engineer status through the IOM3 and subsequently the attainment of Chartered Scientist status in 2005. In early 2005, Angus left ADTI (a division of GlobalSantaFe formed post-merger between Santa Fe and Global Marine) to provide Drilling Engineering services through Contract Positions. Through the success of this move, Springbok Drilling Ltd has now been providing contract Drilling Engineering and Well Site Supervisory services since 2005 in both the UK and Norwegian sectors, as well as a short stint in Mozambique as night DSV.

More recently, Springbok Drilling Ltd has been supporting Well Safe Solutions Ltd in a part-time manner in an advisory role. Through this contract, Springbok Drilling Ltd has reviewed and commented on various P&A programs, as well as supporting the development of the Graduate Training Program. A third function has been to support the Well Safe Solutions Competency Management System.

In addition to the WSS contract, Springbok Drilling Ltd has also signed a contact with NRG Well Examination for the provision of well examination services and well risk reviews for insurance under-writers. This is a new contract signed in May 2022 and is currently in the start-up phase.
