Springbok Drilling

Springbok Drilling Ltd was setup in 2005 as an independent limited company in Scotland, with the aim of providing contract Drilling & Well Engineering services to the Oil & Gas Industry. The Company Directors are: Angus McKay PhD MCSM CEng CSci MIMMM, and Helen McKay BSc (HONS) MSc.

To date, Springbok Drilling Ltd has provided planning and operational support in the UK, Norway, and operational support onshore Mozambique. Well types have included exploration & appraisal and development drilling. Well categories have included standard NPNT wells, HPHT wells, platform, subsea & land wells. Springbok Drilling Ltd has also supported the upgrade and reactivation of the Ringhorne Platform drilling package through provision of a Day Drilling Supervisor.

Currently, Springbok Drilling Ltd is supporting three contracts;

• NRG Well Examination – provision of Well Examination services globally, and well Insurance Risk Reviews.
• Well-Safe Solutions – general support as Principal Engineer and competency assessment of Graduate Engineers.
• Exceed – Competency assessments of staff and contract Drilling and Decommissioning Engineers.
• Additionally, as part of the WSS contract, Springbok Drilling Ltd is assisting in the development of the Graduate Training Scheme for new P&A Engineers starting out on their careers.

Springbok Drilling Ltd is based in Aberdeenshire, Scotland and is also registered in Norway.
